News Flash – Policy Update: HB 2466 Advances in the Kansas House
We’re pleased to share that HB 2466 passed the Kansas House of Representatives on February 11 in a 93–28 vote and has now been referred to the Senate Committee on Commerce.
This legislation represents an important step toward strengthening Kansas’ bioscience and innovation ecosystem by supporting growth, investment, and long-term competitiveness across our state’s bioeconomy.
At AdAstra BIO, policy is not just about legislation — it’s about ensuring Kansas remains a place where life sciences companies can start, scale, manufacture, and thrive.
We will continue to advocate for policies that expand access to capital, drive economic development, and reinforce Kansas as a Midwest hub for bioscience innovation.

By sustaining access to early capital, HB 2466 supports startup formation, company growth, and innovation across key sectors such as bioscience, helping strengthen Kansas’ long-term economic competitiveness.
